TL;DR
A solo esthetician with a growing practice and a big vision, was drowning in tech decisions. I delivered a focused, plain-language plan that turned overwhelm into a clear roadmap, and laid the foundation for an ongoing partnership.
A talented esthetician, buried in tech decisions
Jasmine was building something special: a solo esthetics practice with a clear, values-driven vision and a growing client base. But her vision was starting to outpace her systems. Between booking, a product store, fulfillment, and getting found online, the tech side had become a source of overwhelm instead of support.
She didn’t need someone to take over. She needed someone to help her see the whole picture and turn a pile of “I should probably deal with that” into a clear, doable plan.
“This was by far the trickiest and in fact the most incomplete part of my website… this is definitely the area that I know the least about.”
The real problem? No clear map.
The hardest part wasn’t any single tool. It was the lack of a map. Which software should be the foundation? What to set up first, and what could wait? When everything feels urgent and you’re not sure what’s load-bearing, it’s easy to freeze, or to pour energy into the wrong thing. And since Jasmine would rather focus on her craft than wrestle with software, any plan had to be genuinely understandable, not a wall of jargon.
We started small, on purpose
Rather than a big, all-at-once overhaul, we scoped a focused Tech Stack Plan.
The plan:
- Anchored everything to one foundational tool, so the rest could build from a stable base
- Prioritized every recommendation in order, with a clear “start here” so she’s never wondering what’s next
- Streamlined the store and fulfillment so it stops eating her time
- Covered the free, high-impact basics for getting found online
- Was written in plain language, for someone who’d rather focus on their craft than software
My approach: listen first, assume nothing, and move together
Two principles: meet her where she actually is, and respect the decisions she’d already made. Before calling anything a “problem,” I checked my assumptions with her — because some of what looked like gaps were actually intentional, values-driven choices. The result felt like a partner thinking alongside her, not a consultant talking down to her.
“Such a chill and practical meeting… Your insight, your excitement, and expertise was exactly what I needed.”
From overwhelm to clarity, and the start of a partnership
Jasmine walked away with clarity and a roadmap she was genuinely excited to start, instead of a vague dread about “the tech stuff.” The small first project did exactly what it’s meant to: it built trust, proved the value, and set up an ongoing partnership, with a larger relaunch planned together down the road.
“I cannot express to you how insanely helpful this tech stack plan is. I’ve been slowly looking through it and I CANNOT wait to start implementing.”
Small first steps build big trust
Not every engagement begins with a big commitment. Sometimes the smartest first step is a small, focused project that creates real value, builds trust, and lays the groundwork for more. Low-risk, high-clarity, and the start of a relationship rather than a one-off transaction.
